Got testing done because I am having a wierd issue with ED only at night. Fucked up. Have ruled it out as being hormonal. Prolactin is at the upper end of the range but still within range. Bloodwork indicates slightly out of range RBC with Hemoglobin and hcrit being top of the range so I may want to give blood. Prolactin was 13.4 (4-15.2) so still in range. Free Testosterone came back at 283 pg/mL (35-155) which calculated to an SHBG of 11.6 (16.5-55.9 Labcorp Ref Range). That was interesting. I actually dialed back on the coffee to avoid the calories and because coffee drinking has been found to increase shbg. Vit D was below range, have a new multi on the way to address all of the vitamins/minerals.

Earlier this year I tore my left distal biceps tendon and admittedly have “slacked” pretty hard in getting back to the gym. Have enjoyed the first year with a new girl after getting divorced the last year. My BP is and has been elevated as I let other things in life during my divorce/recovery/moving/love life get in the way. Have been getting my cardio in more regularly lately as well as returning to the gym (Second time coming back from bicep tear, fucking sucks) and I feel like maybe it was my cardiovascular system and/or BP that could be part of the issue with the ED in addition to it just being psychological.

With my very low SHBG levels do I need to keep my E2 “lower”? Does it stand to reason that if my total:free ratio is so high that my total:free Estradiol will follow suit?
