Anybody here run keto while on a cycle? Don’t think it would be any different from a regular diet with carbs?

Given how many carbs I need to not feel like I’m dying running Tren/MTren/Sdrol I personally don’t think that would work for me. However, I think it really depends on the person, and if you’re doing ACTUAL keto not just super low carb.

Not exactly sure the science behind it, but when I did keto NOT on cycle my workouts sucked. I assume lack of glycogen to muscles, as well as inefficient use of fat stores as fuel. I feel a low carb cut is more effective, for me anyways, so I can still hit the gym hard to preserve muscle.

Obviously things will be different running tren, etc.

Keto’s best use case is for sedentary people. Carbs provide way too much of a performance and recovery boost to leave out of your diet if you’re serious about gaining muscle.

I like it. You don’t look full and vascular as you would carb loaded up, but I grow lean on it with modifications.
You’re gonna get flamed for even mentioning it though.

Its great if you are cutting, I think keto is the easiest way to lose weight and bf. There’s definitely not point in doing it if you are bulking though.

I run low carb with intermittent fasting (16hours fast, 8 hours feed per day) year round now and I swear by this approach first diet I have tried I can stick with long term but everyone is different. I can’t have too many carbs or I gain weight like crazy but everyone is different. My thought is try the keto diet and see how it works for you. I’m sure most of the guys here have tried dozens of different diets to find out how there bodies respond and what works.

For massing, it is a rather questionable diet-strategy, given how AAS and Peptides vastly improve our ability to utilize carbs for growth. For cutting, recomping and maintaining? IMHO the best diet there is, at least for me.

Trying to cut on a high carb low fat diet makes me a moody son of a bitch that is always HANGRY. On a true ketogenic diet, preferable with keeping my main bulk of foodchoices to meat, fish, fowl, sea-food, vegetables, moderate low carb fruit, leafy greens, not highly processed, pre-packaged food, I can go without food for a whole day and not feel any different. I also need to skip all dairy, cheese, nuts etc completely, just too energy dense.

In short, just give it a shot, but be a bit patient. Switching over to fat burning mode takes time. Most adaptations should be done after 4 weeks, and you should feel good in and out of the gym 6 weeks tops. Either go cold turkey or slowly lower carb over ~3 weeks until you are ketogenic.

Personally, I need to ditch any artificial sweetener stuff to keep cravings down, but YMMV.
