im replying because i asked slin questions and no one responded really. FROM what ive researched, assuming youre not type 1 , 1.5, 2 the implementation of slin is need for the following, over 600 carbs, high hgh, or high aas usage. the lantus is used for a "safety" net to manage the workload throughout the day where your fast acting slins are used around training for "performance". obviously there are outliers in this where people are more slin resistance or sensitive so tracking your fasted b.g. is the best way. they say under 90 is what youre aiming for. putting lantus in will relieve your pancreas of the workload of insulin production allowing the beta cells to take a break and keep from burning out sooner via high carbs, hgh, aas.
i asked my coach about adding slin and he said "not if you dont have abs" so i guess my BMI is too high but, like with everything else, how can you draw a line and say when you get here you can do it. if it wasnt for that id be running slin for the performance benefits and just to run it to see what happens. again like you said, slin wont make you fat unless you have high fats in your diet. eating fats from your meats isnt enough to do anything.
people are going to tell you that its dangerous but if you have followed vigorious, milos, dave, etc you understand that whats dangerous is not understanding how to run slin, not slin. i read that a type 1 trying killing themselves with slin and run 300iu and just ended up in the hospital. its like giving the keys to a F1 racecar driver vs a kid. the driver will be fine, the kid will hurt themselves.
im replying so i can stay attached to this and read what people say. i wish the hate for slin wasnt out there. i think its just people repeating what they have heard without actually running it or having proof that slin is actually bad......you dont see many fat type 1.....idk how slin can be bad.
if you add slin and gh they say you can actually lower the gear amount because of how they all interact with each other. so like you said, slin doesnt have a down side other than if you REALLY REALLY fuck up you COULD go to the hospital and if your diet is shit, high fats, youll gain fat. when my coach is up im running slin.
