Lock & Load Test E 250mg/ml PIP from HELL

A few weeks back a friend of mine contacted me and told me that the L&L TestE that she had bought for her husband from L&L (not through some reseller or anything) was giving him terrible PIP. Big painful lumps and red swelling that lasted for days. Truly crippling PIP.

She and he thought it was the GSO that L&L uses and that he may be allergic to it. I thought the same in theory. While I had not used L&L before, I have been around a while and have always heard great things about L&L and have told many people that my understanding of their product and customer service was that it was top notch. This going all the way back to the old reddit SST days. I’ve watched Lacey professionally deal with customers on the sites and sub and everyone always seems happy.

Friend asked me if I would be willing to trade her out a few vials of gear that I had in MIG in return for the L&L Test they had. I readily agreed because I don’t have issues with GSO, CSO, MIG, nor MCT, and again, had heard nothing but positives about L&L.

Well I got 4 vials of L&L TestE from my friend all with the caps on, none opened and I sent her some of my Mig based Test in return. Friends being friends and stuff

Well, that L&L Test E hurts like a bitch. Holy Mother of God. I pin eod and am only pinning .5ml of the L&L TestE but I have terrible PIP everywhere I have pinned. Hot and red swollen sites: Both delts, both lats, both VGs. Fuck. Literally WTF?

I usually use slin pins and have done so for years but just in case the GSO needed to be pinned a little deeper, I have tried some 1" pins and the PIP is still going strong. PIP in each site lasts for at least a week. I am through one vial and well into the second and I may just toss the remainder. (Oh man I did give one to a friend and told him it was a great lab by reputation and he’s a newbie and probably thinks all gear hurts now!)

I’m posting this here for some visibility as just sending a random email to Lucky and Lacey would be an email out of the blue because I have no privity with them (I didn’t buy from them).

FYI y’all. Always thought L&L was solid and maybe this was just a bad batch but even then, bad batches shouldn’t happen with a lab as old and respected as L&L.

Obviously this an anecdotal and in the proper place. However, as OP mentioned, LnL is a long standing source. I will also add that there are no other reports of the same.

Batches are not made in 10s but hundreds. The whole batch would be bad.

PIP is caused by a multitude of factors.

This should be reiterated. L&L is a well respected source and rightly so. I’d be more than happy to provide @“LockandLoadLabs” the batch number or bar code so they could see if there is anything to it. If it were just me I’d blow it off but remember, I only have the L&L gear because my GF’s hubby was getting such bad PIP from it that I agreed to trade him some of my gear in exchange knowing that I have no issues with GSO.

GF’s hubby and I are experienced users. I pin ed and have for years. PIP does have many reasons but it’s not my pinning technique.

I think it’s a little ridiculous that you got second hand gear from someone, are having issues, and decided that this was the appropriate place to discuss it without even the common courtesy to e-mail me and see if I had an answer or if there was anything I’d be willing to do. Anyone who has ever had an issue with me knows that I bend over backwards to make things right, especially when the issue is my fault, although I also try to accommodate when the issue is not my fault. The first thing I would want to know is when they purchased this gear. It sounds like it’s an old batch from the issue in December of 2018. It was well publicized and I was not the only source who received the BB. Chances are I have a quick and easy answer for you, and if you had e-mailed me I would have replaced them as I did every single other person who was affected. This was over a year ago though, and this post seems like it’s only purpose was to try and hurt my business. I see no benefit from it, where there would have been a benefit had you e-mailed me, so I don’t know what you are after. You are correct though, I am a very well respected source who has been around for a very long time with a long list of customers. No one else has had a complaint like this, and I feel the way you went about it has caused me to want to not believe this is legitimate, but that you are just someone looking to smear us, so I won’t be responding to this post again as it takes time away from my customers. If you legitimately have a concern you can e-mail me, otherwise good luck.

The reason I wrote this here is that I DID email you and got no response as, like I said, I figured you thought there was no privity between us and I got no response for two weeks. I figured since I wasn’t in your customer list that was why you didn’t respond as I stated clearly in my OP.

I don’t appreciate your pretending that I didn’t email you first before taking this to the board.

And: After I read what you wrote here I emailed you again to no avail.
