Does anyone else experience lower back pain for the day after pinning your Ventrogluteal muscle?

It may have just been coincidental, but my SI joints get inflamed after injecting around that area. Same thing happens to my shoulder if I pin my delt higher than usual. Dont know why but at least you know one other person experiences it lol

nerves are a bitch. areas like that and delts are just in a high traffic area and more susceptible to radiating pain. Occasionally I still get some pins and needles if I’m lazy with my delt shot like @“MentalPariah” said

Not specifically but I could certainly see the muscle getting inflamed and causing pain in the surrounding areas. Tight/inflamed VG’s are a very common cause of low back tightness/pain. When I’ve gotten an inflamed vg from injection it affects my trochanter area in a negative way. As long as this doesn’t continually happen I think you should be fine.

Thankfully the last couple times I’ve pinned I haven’t experienced anymore pain. This was also my first time injecting the VG so maybe I just wasn’t used to it or something. Thanks for the reply though!

Thank you @“cmryan” and @“MentalPariah” for the responses! It did make me feel better knowing that I’m not the only person that experienced it lol.

Hell yes. Every time I pin in my right ass cheek for the next few days it’s like a have sciatica and a stiff lower back. Pain where my spine meets the sacrum. It’s a pain in the ass.

Ugh. Sciatica sucks. As long as you’re not experiencing it from the pinning at the time, I’d think it’s just inflamed tissue compressing the nerve. Sucks and I’d be wary of frequently impinging a nerve but if you’re otherwise ok with it I suppose it’s ok.
