Mental sides?

Does anybody here ever experience mental side effects even on just test? I was taking 300mg of test C weekly and having bouts of overwhelming paranoia about stupid shit like people at work are all talking about me, making fun of me, etc. Lowered my dose and not experiencing the same issue as heavily...

any other factors coming in to play? Do you have anxiety prior to this? Any medication? What about blood sugar. Just curious to this as well.

Ive always been an "anxious" person with difficulty sitting still etc but no major panic attacks or anything of that nature. No other compounds or meds are being used. Full disclosure, I have had issues in the past with bouts of psychosis when I was an active IV drug user. The difficult part of this to me is separating what is the testosterone, what is genetic predisposition (father was schizophrenic and died by self inflicted methods), and what is simply a warped thinking pattern/self esteem issues amplified by test etc. The feeling reminded me of those days so much it was kind of scary.

There was a lack of sleep for 2 nights prior to this and low food intake too which may contribute.

I've since reduced weekly to 175 and feel more stable.

I'm not saying this is all test related but curious if anybody else has dealt with a similar experience.

Hah I knew this would come up. A lot. I work in a kitchen and drink quite bit of coffee and energy drinks. I just didn't think a few extra sugar free rockstars would put me into a 48 hour fucking panic attack.

First I'm sorry to hear about ur father that had to be traumatic.

I Was just about to ask about caffeine as well.... I had to drop the energy drinks and reduce coffee to 1-2 cups in the AM only or the anxiety hits hard n heavy. Pre juice I could pound caffeine all day long, now I can't do it or I'll feel like I'm going insane. Also avoid "other" stimulants if ur exposing urself to that like adderall or narcotic uppers. They just dont mix well with high test levels.

Granted it sounds like high test levels could potentially be opening a door to something pre dis positioned, but I'd start with dropping the energy drinks and stimulant consumption dramatically asap and see how u feel. U should notice a difference within a few days and reevaluate from there. Good luck

i have really bad anxiety that i take two different meds for and no gear had made me panic, but a high dose of caffeine, specifically preworkout rather than energy drinks for some reason, will make me paranoid like you described.

Going on 7 months with no narcotics so the strong stimulants are out of the question. And yeah it was totally crazy seeing somebody you love take their own life.

Good to know the caffeine is not an uncommon precursor to this feeling and will switch to tea later in the day/make conscious effort to cut back on caffeine intake.

Thank you all for the input and glad this doesn't automatically spell I'm nuts lol.

How has your sleeping been too? I am on about the same dose as you and my sleep has been awful these past couple weeks. Which then has forced me to take caffeine, which I agree with these users is not a good combination.

Fuckin pre workout lol

Sleep has been ok. I tend to wake up at least a couple times a night but get a good 7 hours or so usually. Chamomile tea and turning off the TV seem to help...

This sounds more like an underlying condition exacerbated by drugs rather than a purely drug-induced phenomenon. You could probably get this addressed pretty easily.

For example, it is not unlikely for a person with an underlying anxiety disorder to experience heightened anxiety symptoms when he or she ingests caffeine. Along the same lines, schizophrenics who chug a pot of coffee can induce a psychotic episode. While there is a phenomenon called caffeine-induced psychosis, where people with no underlying issue experience psychosis after exposure to tons of caffeine, it's very rare, to the point that it hasn't been well documented or occurred often enough to be well-described. On the testosterone side of things, there are compounds that are known to make people go nutty, but modest doses of test aren't among them.

If you tend toward paranoid ideation anyway, it's much more likely that caffeine or test is pushing you in that direction rather than causing fully novel thought patterns. Treating whatever anxiety you have organically will probably take care of whatever this is.

Also, I agree about those stimulant-packed preworkouts. I could take in 500 calories of fingernails that I chew through from the anxiety those things can crank up.

Thanks for the input. I just made a call to get in for more mental health treatment. All the years of drugs and criminal thinking made me incredibly sick mentally lol....this recent episode just emphasized the fact that I've been neglecting the work I was doing to help me get my life back so far. The work isn't just in the gym for me I guess
