I’m in dental school and it legit helps my memory, I learn faster and recall shit more quickly. Won’t give you the high that addy or caffeine do. Like SC said, goes great with caffeine. Definitely will keep you awake if that’s your goal but also hasn’t fucked with my sleep if I take it in the AM or even half of 1 at lunch.

I used to use duckdose but listen… These generics flowing out of India into the US generic market are pure SHIT! Modalert, modvigil, artvigil, and shitvigil all gave me GI problems.

Name brand Modafinil is insanely expensive. It its the real deal.

I’ve never really found Modafinil or Armodafinil to be particularly useful. Feels kinda like caffeine but without the jitters. It definitely prevents me from falling asleep, but I typically don’t notice any of the cognitive or other effects that others seem to report.

Apparently there are a substantial amount of people who are basically non-responders to these drugs, so I suspect that I fall into that category.

That’s a real shame though, because my doctor is willing to prescribe either one. I still keep some laying around, but every time I use it I just end up with a headache and insomnia.

THe thing with Modafinil for me, I dont really FEEL it. I find this as a positive because I dont want to be all jacked up sweaty and jittery more than I already am. It just makes me feel not tired, lol. Sounds dumb but is crucial when I have to study a dumb amount of Anatomy, Pharmacology, do lab work, hit the gym, work (occasionally, hard to manage during D school) and have 2 kids. Its crucial when I have to get up at 5am and didnt go to be until midnight, 200mg Moda with a big cup of coffee and I feel totally normal and ready to get after it. And all the shit I get is out India so QC is questionable. The Artvigil has been my favorite so far. If youre looking for a stim / upper this aint it. Looking for something to extend your days, help stave off mental exhaustion, pull all-nighters etc. Afinil definitely works in this regard for me.

As pointed out already, Modafinil doesn’t have any stimulant effect, so you physically can’t tell you’re taking it. All it does for me is keep me from feeling tired all day, and my motivation and productivity are very high all day. At some point in the day, I always end up stopping to think how much shit I’ve gotten done - I’m just non-stop productive. It also gives me a slight mood boost and keeps my verbal communication skills at 100% all day.

Having used my own product a lot, I am quite experienced with Moda/Armoda, and I can vouch for SoCo’s Armodafinil he sells. I’ve used it, and it’s very high quality.

I’ve built up a bit of a tolerance to it, but taking 400mg on an empty stomach does feel like waking up on a dark and dreary winter morning and stepping outside to a perfect summers sunshiny day.

makes my jaw and or neck tense and ache annoyingly though which is a common symptom unfortunately especially at higher dosages.

anecdotally I’ve tried pharma vs ugl once and couldn’t tell the difference, also couldn’t tell the difference between pharma ritalin and modafinil.

Don’t expect an insane increase in energy like stimulants such as Adderal or Ritalin. But, Modafinil (or even better, Armoda) does an awesome job for keeping subtle focus and keeping you alert. Like someone mentioned above, if you consume it with caffeine and enough water, it makes working overnights or long hours studying so much easier. It doesn’t necessarily give the tunnel vision focus, but I always felt willing and engaged in working longer hours or staying up all night for various reasons. I’ve used both ExpressPCT and SoCo’s stuff and they are what they advertise. Again, I’ve also gotten all the different type from BTCnootropics and mixed them with some of their other nootropics and they are hit and miss, with some versions being A1 over the others. It’s derived for narcolepsy so it works great for just staying awake and not feeling dragged and tired all the time.
Give the guys here a shot since they are priced respectively and you’re going to be getting good stuff no doubt.
Side note, don’t take too much than you need because the “withdrawal” from them gave me the most insane headache of my life requiring two doses Maxalt to control.

By withdrawal, what do you mean? Is there an actual physical withdrawal besides the headache?
