wtf! fuck no to 25g or even one inch. The delts arent that deep! Jesus please get some medical knowledge and study this stuff before recommending shit to people. Delts are a small muscle, youll find it much easier to pin 27-29g 1/2inch in delts. Capt is right for slin pin or a 5/8 inch 25g but 25g is still a larger needle in diameter. if you wanna avoid scar tissue build up becoming a problem very fast then use slin pins 27-29g 1/2 inch. If you arent absolutely obese and lift slin pin delts is perfect. Glutes you should aim for a 25g but even then you can use a slin pin if youre leaner and push deeper to reach around 1inch while avoiding the harpoon that is a 25g. Delt pip with larger needles/higher volume shots is a bitch. Youll likely get less pip doing 1ml or less each delt and also less pip if you arent squeezing that shot into the delt fast with a 25g. slin pin is nice and slow but not too slow, depending on oil thickness id heat it up to be smoother. i use mig but still heat it a bit and delt shots are short and sweet.

27 1/2"
Sort of fattier arms and still hits the delt vs the sq fat.
If you dont mind the wait time for loading and injecting then you can get luer lock 25-27 1/2" needles load the test then switch the needle to 29-31 1/2", just takes a while to push it through. 27 1/2" is the sweet spot for me. Account for the dead space loss when switching needles (around 0.1-0.3ml depending on brand)

why not just get the 5cc syringes from gpzmedlab and buy 18-25g and 27g?? use 18-25 to draw depending on preference then pull back on plunger, remove needle put on 27 1/2 and not change entire needle syringe combo? Use same barrel just swap the pin?? I use to draw up in 27s and load into a 29g but like you said id lose some oil. I think 27g luer locks run out pretty fast but when they come by always good to grab a couple hundred.

23g 1 1/2 although I’m thinking of going back to 25g due to some leakage

@egoliftlowbench hola compadre!
I was just answering his Q, not giving advice. But thanks to YOUR advice I’ve got some 1/2" on the way!

Two of my buddy’s that are using the same trt doc, have them using that size. When I googled “needle size for delt injection” the first page is literally all medical studies and hospitals saying use 1". I’ve hit there 3 times with no issues but I’ll go elsewhere till the shorties arrive.

25g x 1" ok for quads?1

@combover 25g x 1" is great for quads.

I used 1/2" 30g insulin pins for delts on cruise because I am only injecting around .1-.3 ml of oil at a time. But when there’s a lot of oil to pin on blasts, I use 1" 25g needles for my delts.

God damn, no wonder there are so many threads complaining about scar tissue across the aas boards. You people using anything lower than a 27g to pin are nuts, there’s absolutely no good reason to use such big pins.

29g or 30g, 1/2" for upper body (delts, lats, traps, etc)
29g or 30g, 1" for lower body (quads, glutes, etc)

quads id never pin too many nerves never wanna try. 1 inch yeah but still any pin there is risky when you can pin calves lats and bis if youve exhausted vg and glute and medial and rear delt sites. All the hospitals saying 1 inch ive found are recommended for fatter patients. I mean even getting my flu shots or anything ive always seen half inch needles go into my delt. I think the 1 inch standard for a lot of places is just because its easier because if you are fatter youd need to push deeper to be im not subq, most people dont have much deltoid muscle as well which as this is an AAS board we all are hopefully having more delt mass than the avg pop.
https://www.chop.edu/news/make-sure-you-choose-proper-needle-length-when-vaccinating-your-patients#:~:text=For%20adults-,Intramuscular%20(IM)%20injections,depending%20on%20the%20patient’s%20weight.
“Needle length is usually 1”–1½", 22–25 gauge, but a longer or shorter needle may be needed depending on the patient’s weight." When I pinned 1 ml test with a 25g pip was a bitch, ever since pinning same volume or higher with 27-29 no pip maybe slight soreness if higher volume shot. Also, these standards are for vaccinations if you check TRT/HRT guidelines its usually 1/2 inch because they know shots are more frequent. However, the 1 inch standard remains because the ones recommending it recommend very frequent site rotation and a lot of clinics want people pinning their T once a week or once every 2 weeks which we both know will not produce stable blood levels. Assuming everyone is not pinning often and in higher volumes the 25g 1 inch the medical community does not need to worry about scar tissue per say because they dont expect people to enjoy needles or want to pin or be pinned that often. It isnt “medically” necessary more so they use the standard as the general consensus is fuck needles theyre scary so lets make it short and sweet to get it over with. The 25g standard is for vaccinations and shots that you arent getting 1-2x a week. Easiest shot to give and much quicker to pin 25g since its a wider needle pushing the contents into the muscle vs a thinner needle. Hospitals dont want people to have to wait i mean how many get phobias of needles and have to look away or are super scared? If shots took a bit longer people would be even more scared lol

@egoliftlowbench Meh I’m on TRT so no need for all that switching since minimal oil goes in with frequent inj.
I draw and inject with the same 27g 1ml Syringe/Needle combo. Saves me money and I don’t mind the slight wait pushing in my dose. SHBG is super low, so even on a blast I still dont push much liquid with my frequent injections. split 3x a week had my trough near the mid-6000 meanwhile 2x a week had my trough close to 2500 both on a 500mg/week blast. My TRT dose of 150mg has my trough at 1500 so its the solution to me.

Just a solution to others, yeah do what he says, you free up time and easier to push the vast amount of oils.

I could probably get away with running 1” in most places but have always opted for a larger gauge when running a thicker oil like EQ or similar. I’ve never tried warning it up but it’s a bitch pushing 2-3mil left handed into my lat, quad, delt, etc.
