Hey Guys,
This is always the area I struggle the most. Very consistent with training, former CrossFitter for 12 years, but after 40 focused on more bodybuilding/strength training.
I train 6 days a week, P/P/L split with a running only day between.
I’m 5’6” 161lbs, around 14-15% BF. I’m up from 153 and 17%-18% BF since last May when I started TRT (sub 300 natty test levels prior).
My diet is clean, but I know I’m not getting enough food in, especially in week 5 of a 10 week mini-blast (350 test, 200 primo, 40mg var for 1-2 more weeks).
Currently getting in around 200g protein, 150-175g carbs, and around 75-100g fat on a good day. Usually between 2000 and 2300 cals. Main sources are eggs, oats, whey, Greek yogurt, chicken breast, and brown rice. That gets me through breakfast/lunch/snacks, then whatever I’m having for dinner.
Current Goal is to get to 165 at 11-12% BF. Given my current cycle, is it best to finish the next 5 weeks out on a cut, or start building up my cals to a better maintenance level and then cut from there in a few months? I just can’t get my food game on track, quantities are my downfall.
Any help with suggestions and methodology would be greatly appreciated.
