PCT: How long to wait before starting PCT

Hey fellow SST community,

I’m nearing the end of my 12 week test E cycle at 800/week. The frequency of injection was every 5 days. My last injection will be this upcoming Wednesday of 400mg and I wanted to know how long I need to wait until I start taking clomid, nolvadex, and HCG? My plan was to wait three weeks but I keep reading conflicting information. Do folks here have suggestions on a wait time?

You should already be taking HCG, as it's suppressive so you don't take it while you're on PCT. Test E wait 14-21 days, I believe the avg. clearance time is 18 days, so I usually say wait 3 weeks from your last pin, then start your clomid and nolva. For the hcg I would start now and pump it till the day before you start the nolva/clomid probably.

I’ve been taking HCG twice weekly throughout the cycle. In my past pct’s I ran HCG a week after my last test injection. Thanks for the 18 days feedback I really appreciate it

Ok yeah if you've had success with that in the past, I would keep doing that! Since you've been running HCG all cycle you'll probably have an easy go of PCT. You might not even need clomid, but again, if you have a protocol that works well for your body, I don't know that I would mess with it until it stops working.

In my opinion I would wait four weeks due to the high dosage of test e that you took. Also I'm just curious but would nolva not work on it's own as a pct for you?

As a general rule, typical clearance time is 5 half lives. So if the half life is 7 or 8 days, then you would want to wait 5-6 weeks to allow full clearance that way you don't experience additional suppression when trying to pct and jumpstart your own production.
The exception to the above is 19-nors. While the compound may have an ester of 3.5 days, even if you wait 18 days approx, that doesnt mean all the metabolites may be cleared out of your system.... Resulting in additional suppression when you go to PCT.
