This is only pertaining to people who pct. It seems the older I get, the more sides I get. The last time I did a pct ( 2 weeks hcg and 4 weeks clomid nolva) at about the 3-4 week mark of clomid nolva, I got low estrogen symptoms like insomnia. This time around, week 1 I have been getting heat flashes or running hotter than normal and I have been having issues sleeping that sometimes not even Benadryl will help. I have gotten these symptoms when crashing estrogen but years of pct fine and now this? Anyone else have anything like that? Nolva and clomid are just 1 dose or like 20mg/50mg each day.

I’ve never understood blasting HCG for PCT. It’s just one more shock to your body.

Just use it through your cycle to maintain some testicular function and minimize atrophy. Then drop all the gear and use nolva to PCT. Sure, stacking Clomid is more effective, but it’s side effect profile sucks. The idea is to use HCG to make things smoother, not add a bunch of more stress all at once as your body dramatically drops it’s androgen levels and use use SERMs to kick it back into action.

Not sure where you see me saying not to take it. And I’m kinda at a loss here; you’ve gone through nearly a full cycle here without a PCT plan.

Just run HCG at 250iu twice a week starting now. Stop when you start PCT. Some say start clomid at 25mg and half it after a week or two. I say just take it at 12.5mg/day

Comment indicates to only use HCG while on cycle. Do you mean no HCG post cycle at all? And your response also has 2 different answers on the clomid dose which is exactly what I'm talking about. I have a protocol I was given but says 50mg daily then 25. You're saying as low as 12.5. See what I mean?

I’m pretty clear in my comments. I’m happy to help, but not if you’re giving me attitude. You jumped into a cycle not knowing what you’re doing. Figure it out.

Lol. Wasn't trying to be difficult or rude just not exactly sure what you meant by saying I don't get why people blast HCG. I was looking for clarification on when or how much you thought made more sense. I took your comment as I don't see why people use HCG at all.

Lol I don't know wtf I was reading but I definitely missed all of the useful info (is the initial post).

Is nolva significantly better for pct? I was told to bring in clomid so that's what I did but now I'm second guessing that decision as nolva seems to be milder. I definitely didn't due the full research that I should have but now that I'm in this position I am dling my best to work intelligently around it.

Define better. Clomid has a higher binding affinity to estrogen receptors in the pituitary, and is more effective than nolva. It’s often used to treat hypogonadism before trt. It’s sides are also worse.

My philosophy is that gains are kept post-cycle predominantly by diet and training. Nolva has less sides, and it’s become the preference of many over clomid or both.

With that said, Clomid is good. Use it. Just be aware that some sides might not be the lack of androgens, but the clomid. I say start at 25mg. 50mg is a lot.
