Pinning Glutes

Can someone point me to a good resource or explain to me a good way to pin glutes? I’ve seen spot injection, but honestly I’m having a hard time turning my torso in such a way that gives me a comfortable position to pin… is that normal? How the fuck do you do it?

Pin VG… no need to get to actual glute. And to find the VG, just take ur leg and step it back behind you About a foot…(like a one leg lunge) At the top of where ur ass meets ur lower back you will see the VG muscle flex . Horizontal from the middle Of ur body towards your hip. You should be able to pin that without too much torso turning.

@MikeAlstott I pin my glutes blind, using the hand on the same side I’m pinning. So for a left glute shot, I hold the barrel of the syringe in my left hand between my thumb and forefinger, palm facing to my right. I don’t even attempt to look any more, although when I first started, I’d use a mirror. When I first tried left glute shots I’d contort myself trying to see what I was doing, which was extremely uncomfortable. Edit: I don’t press the plunger the way you normally would. I kind of do it backwards, with my thumb on the ridge at the back of the barrel and my forefinger pressing the plunger.

No idea if there are even really any resources out there for the upper outer quadrant aside from the awkward standing up way. I do it laying sideways on my bed with pillows propped under my arm pit and underneath the slightly bent knee of my top (injection side) leg. Twist from the torso. I’ve never been comfortable doing it standing up, this allows me to fully relax and see what I’m doing. Sometimes the neck does cramp up a lil tho lol

@kingofcarbz hahaha, thanks for the visuals. I see what you’re saying, maybe I’ll try that way next time. I did try the step back in the VG like @EpicFlash suggested and it worked pretty well. IDK if it’s my virgin site or the DHB but got some nice PIP going on in there, not too bad though.

Glute always seems like the easiest to pin unless im mistaken. I always just look for a big juicy area square on my ass and pin away.

Ive never hit that big nerve ending doing this

@kingofcarbz asking for trouble in whqt way?

Ive pinned for over a decade and the only place ive had issues about not beinh specific enough about the location is quads. If i pin too low on quads it hurts like q bitch

@MikeAlstott its a combination of both. LOL. I am also running DHB This cycle so I have been pinning for VG than usual. Normally I can get away with just moving around areas of delts but with DHB , I Needed to add the VGs to the rotation of sites. I find no matter which site I use for the DHB I need more than just EOD before I return. My PIP is totally fine but each site needs a couple of days to settle down before I hit it again. On the side note, loving DHB…

@EpicFlash Just did my left VG today. I’m literally hobbling now. Pinned left quad last Friday and I messed it up a bit, usually no PIP. This time holy fuck because I botched it. Guy that works at my gym asked me if I was alright cus I was limping. Told him I bruised myself, asked me how, I said IDK, I just woke up with it lol. I’m used to this shit now. Hopefully the virgin PIP will go away soon and I will get better at these VG pins.

I’m running DHB around 500-600 right now. Pinning ED. I love it. What about you?

@MikeAlstott pip doesn’t entirely go away it just gets better. I still get pip depending on how the pin goes and the what I’m pinning. I always rotate to make it more manageable I always have 6+ sites in rotation but it’s still there sometimes

You can try heating it up and make sure to dilute with other compounds. Regardless of what test ester you are using, just divide by 7 and dilute the DHB. 1st VG Pins were sore but after the second time through each site it is hardly noticeable. Don’t be afraid to go higher and further out from your crack than you would think.

Make sure you’re aspirating if you’re pinning vg. Ask me how I know.
