I’ve been looking into adding t4 to my protocol… t4 because it seems a little safer and not catabolic like t3. Any experience from guys here that have used t4 would be great… I’m thinking 100-150mcg to start…
Thanks in advance

@Forthewin1123 Are you knowledgeable on T3/4? My last bloods showed High >50 T3 Uptake normal TSH and T4 being low. I have no clue on them.

My test levels were like 8k though

@CaptainAmerica I wouldn’t say I’m knowledgeable yet but working on it … have you been using hgh over 5ius a day for awhile? If so that could be why your t4 is low… hgh messes with thyroid… 80% ish of t3 come from t4 conversion… from what I’ve read hgh causes more t3 use… which can lower the t4… from my understanding… and the conversion of t4 to t3 is anabolic…

T4 lowers with hgh use, but your free t3 increases for whatever reason while on hgh. So you wouldn’t need to supplement your t4 levels if the goal in mind was building muscle .

@Forthewin1123 so the conversion is anabolic but the byproduct is catabolic? You sure you have that right?

I’d throw in T4 if bloodwork showed the Need. Yes. High and or prolonged gh use can cause this need. So if tsh is creeeping up might be a good idea. Start at 100 though not 150

T4 converts to t3. Just take t3?

@Forthewin1123 I know to much t3 eats muscle .but paired with aas like tren , and other Compunds its said to staff off muscle loss to some degree.

50mcg and 100mcg seems.to.be ideal in my findings.

T3 doesn’t judge , lose weight be eating whatever it gets to.

@Musclehead34 sounds right… the study I was reading was specific to using with hgh…so maybe t4 is better choice in that scenario… I’m still new to t3/t4 with.hgh but I’m learning alot pretty quick to

This is what i’ve gathered:
T4 cannot be used to drive T3 above ref range. It can be used to keep T3 in a healthy range if you are doing/taking something that suppresses T3 (dnp, tren, hgh, cutting).
Your thyroid will use as much T4 as it needs to convert it to T3. If T3 is at an adequate level, your thyroid will not convert more T4 to T3. Supplementing more T4 wont result in more T3.
Using T4 wont suppress your thyroid, unlike T3
Dont quote me on it.

HGH will increase thyroconversion of T4 to T3. That is why if you are on a night time GH protocol it will sometimes cause profuse sweating.
T3 in itself is not necessarily catabolic, it will increase your metabolism because it will start consuming your glycogen stores in your muscles. The increase consumption of glycogen stores is what will increase your metabolic rate because your body will try to replenish them. If your diet is not dialed in to the T this will contribute to the consumption of muscle mass for energy.

My personal experience with T3/T4 would lead to me advise people to stay away from it. Since it consumes your glycogen stores you will constantly look flat. I got down into low single digits BF and I did not look nearly as impressive as I did when I stopped taking it.

If you do choose to add T3/T4 to your protocol, you should use it in a 1:4 ratio. For example 50mcg T3 and 200mcg T4.

My advice would be just diet hard and do the necessary cardio. Maybe add clen but thyroid shit is wholly unnecessary imo.
