Taking gear on grey hound bus

Planning on moving and I’m taking a grey hound bus from California to Omaha, NE. Was wondering if anyone knows if they check your bags and if I’d be fine with taking all my gear with me.

Have you ever ridden the greyhound? Lol I know dudes who used to bring suitcases full of weed from cali… I think you’re probably fine with your gear, those people don’t give a damn and probably wouldn’t know what it was if they saw it.

I don’t imagine a bus service checking bags, i once worked for a local place and that never happened. unless something crazy happened in your area and they are searching people you should be ok. id hide it in another object in your luggage like a shoe, pant pocket something like that so its not easily seen.
