You know you’re getting old when you get tendinitis from playing the fucking guitar too long. Yes I was playing Wonderwall. But seriously, I got it in the inner elbow (opposite of tennis elbow) and it is extremely painful. Ive had tennis elbow in the past and I remember it taking two or three months to heal. Anyone have experience in treating this quickly? Just started a cycle and this is a hell of a time to get it. It’s hard to do any upper body. Thanks

Blood flow restriction training with light weight helped, super high rep sets and backing off on all heavy lifts involving the irritated tendon, lots of heat and massage it, using GH lol. Doing pull-ups ups irrated my elbow, once it healed up getting stronger with curls has helped to keeping it away. Voodoo flossing helped with my knee and stretching my quads more often.

Elbow pain was so bad recently I tried a TENS unit. It gives immediate pain relief. I also used it while lifting light high reps like Billazefagates suggested. You have to put a wrap around the electrodes for elbow use, so either be prepared for a lot of questions or stick with the home gym for a couple of weeks.

Takes some getting used to giving yourself electric shocks. But really worked for me. Very effective for sciatica too. For sciatica wear it while walking/hiking. 90-95% reduction in pain within 30 days. I think the immediate pain reduction while lifting light high reps or walking for sciatica was key to faster healing for me.

YMMV, proceed with caution with any injury.

What he said plus this https://armaid.com/collections/frontpage/products/armaid. You mash your arm through that and it will help break up adhesions, freeing the muscle for more blood flow and will massage the fuck outta those deep tissues. Worth its weight in gold in my opinion. Any time forearm or tendinitis issues start creeping out, I start using this daily.

Go to a pharmacy and grab a bottle of capsaicin (liquid is better than the cream). Throw it on your elbows before you warm up. After you put it on throw an elbow sleeve on or wear a long sleeve shirt/hoodie just to retain some body heat and make it activate. It’ll burn like a bitch at first but it’s a godsend.

I always get this… really sucks. Once you get it… it most likely always comes back.

I would give it time to heal just like you did with your tennis elbow. Also one trick I use is massage the crap out of it with a lacrosse ball, I’m still dealing with my tennis elbow and I know it’s never going to go away with the lifts I do.
