Test E tastes metallic?

I’ve been using Test E and Test C for about 5 years now and I can taste a metallic type of taste in the back of my throat a few minutes after injection. I aspirate the syringe before injection to make sure I didnt knick a vein. Does anyone else experience a taste after injection?

Seeing as there is no such thing as a metallic taste receptor. It’s probably your TAS2R13 and TAS2R38 receptors. Some people have a hyper bitter perception due to genetics. If you tried phenylthiocarbamide (PTC) and 6-n-propylthiouracil (PROP) you could probably taste it unlike most.

The activation in these receptors can display a
Variety of sensations one of which being
A metallic flavor.

These receptors interact with alchohol. benzo alchohol being a component in test e would make sense why your getting a metallic taste after injection.

It’s not an unheard of phenomenon that people get the same issue. So I wouldn’t swet it just chew some gum next time you pin. Hopefully this helps give at the least a theorized answer

@Jay interesting! Ok because I thought it was a normal thing for everyone to taste anything you inject. I did not know this was genetic. I’m an ex heroin addict and you can taste it everytime you inject it. I can even taste different compounds that it is cut with. Kind of like when you get an IV at the hospital they tell you that you might get a “metallic” taste in your mouth. With the testosterone, metallic is the closest thing I can compare the taste to. Like if you were to put a penny in your mouth. I actually like the taste I get from test. Lol The taste is stronger when I inject a higher dosed Test E that is 500mg/ml compared to a 250mg/ml mix. I also get the same taste whether it’s GSO or MCT so that tells me that it’s not the oil I’m tasting. It’s the raw test.
I was just wondering if anyone else experiences this because there are some people who don’t believe me and I know I’m not crazy. Thank you for your input.
