To the brewers out there: Why is NPP 200 mg/ml less common, is it difficult to brew?

I ask because I am interested in homebrewing and think 200mg/ml would be so much more convenient.

I’ve found online recipes which seem simple enough.

So why is 100mg/ml so much more common?

I just got some npp 200 in the mail and 3 of the 4 vials were hella crashed so maybe 100 is easier to keep suspended.

^^^ What those two said. 200mg/mL is super convenient but ordering it anytime but late spring/summer/early fall is asking to have to struggle to get it back into the oil. It’s gonna crash on you.

You’re going to either need a super solvent or M840 to hold it at 200mg reliably. Most homebrew guys aren’t going to want to throw down on a gallon of M840 and I think the community as a whole has taken a stance to move away from super solvents unless absolutely necessary.
Would you consider EO to be a super solvent? I kinda like EO and am considering doing my next brew entirely EO instead of 1:2 EO:GSO.

I was going to try 100% EO, that is- 12.6ml, 2%BA 0.4m, 20%BB 4ml with say 4g NPP. Should Make 20ml- at least, that’s the only recipe I found. I don’t think I’ve ever pinned EO, but I thought I’d heard good things about it. Not too much PIP, ?

If it crashes I’ll just go for 150mg/ml instead next time.
