Tren and Cutting

I’m not an idiot but I’m putting this in the dumb questions forum.

On my first cycle with tren and I’m running my same TRT
150mg Test E + 350mg Tren A a week
  • 50mg Var and 25mcg T3 everyday
I’m about 5 weeks into this cycle and have been cutting hard, eating somewhere between a 400-600 calorie deficit and doing one HOUR of cardio (stairmaster) every freaking day.

I count every calorie, log everything, weigh everything meticulously, so absolutely ruling out “You’re eating more than you think” I’M HUNGRY, practically poverty caloric consumption.

My dumb questions is why is the scale not dropping 2 pounds a week? I"m about 14-15% BF (run with DXA scan) and looking to get to 10%. Scale does hardly budge!!

Am I just recomping? I am working my ass off in the gym, hour of weights 5-6 times a week, hour of cardio + abs/core for 10ish minutes everyday.

Sides have been manageable so looking to run the tren for at least 10-12 weeks. I just started the anavar a few days ago, will be running that for about 6 weeks.

Do I just need more time? What the frick is happening to my body that I’m not on a speed train to shredville?

Should I just be throwing the scale away and using the mirror? Will run another DXA scan in 6-8 weeks (maybe I should run one sooner?)

thanks juicy bros, have a good Sunday!

Your calories are calculated incorrectly, your diet is absolutely not perfectly in line with how it should be for the progress you’re expecting, your training probably sucks. Fix your diet and your training.

after I posted this, I took a second to compare some progress photos, and NVM shredding is happening… IDK WTF with the scale, I’m better just using DXA scans and a mirror.

@“SouthernCompounding” I should take measurements too but I never bother, would be a better source for progress than just pounds of bodyweight.

Remember that drugs retain water/glycogen. You may be losing fat but also be retaining more water
intramuscularly which counter balances the scale.

One of the problems with tren is a lot of times the scale won’t move. It happens to me whether I try to bulk on tren or cut.

I would also say check your diet. This is the most important factor.

I also started running 50mg anavar ED about 4 weeks into the cycle, which could contribute to some additional glycogen retention. IDK why I am so obsessed with body mass and the bathroom scale, I’m aware it really doesn’t mean shit towards body composition.

I’m starting to LOOK much tighter and cut up, so I know everything is working, I have a good suspicion I might be doing a little more of a recomp than a cut, which is fine. I’m going to run a DXA scan in a couple weeks and see what’s up. I ran one in the beginning of jan so I have a good baseline.

I really need to just trust the process and stop acting like a body dysmorphic highschool girl. Also running bloodwork on Monday to make sure all is in order.

I’m eating 2200 calories a day, measured and logged in MFP, with min 1g protein per pound of body weight. Diet is in check for a sure deficit.

It doesn’t matter how much you weigh, it matters how much you look. But srs stats don’t always indicate appearance. Obviously theres a connection but the more you obsess over it the more fucked up you’re gonna feel. If I take dbol my lean mass is gonna go up but obviously I’d look better without it

Why not post everything and let us critique it.

Height/weight/age
Calories per day
Workouts

Obviously something isn’t being done correctly. I’m eating maintenance calories, no cardio, lifting on average three days a week, running half as much Tren and have moved my waist line in half an inch in the last four weeks.

You’re running around 175mg Tren A, SoCo? How do you like that dose, and how much Test / other compounds?

I’d like to try Tren for cutting, but always been leery because I have a wife and several kids that can be irritating at times. Don’t want to go all Jack Torrance on a bad day…

I’m not the one you asked (tremendous respect to SoCo, value his input above mine), but I am experienced with doses of tren similar to what you are referencing (140-210 mg are two doses I have used).

I firmly believe that if your family/relationships are of utmost importance to you (as they should be) the risk:reward ratio of using a drug like tren simply isn’t favorable for it to be worth it. Sure, some people don’t experience those sides (irritability, irrational decision making, etc.), but why risk it when the drug is notorious for exactly that? Banking on being the exception rather than the rule is statistically a poor idea. There are other drugs out there which can aid in attaining your goal(s) without the added risk that it could damage your relationships or family life.

Apologies if my input isn’t wanted, but my intentions are pure and I wish only the best for the bros on here, family/loved ones are a #1 priority.

No, definitely appreciated, big homie. That’s the mindset I kind of keep coming back to. Anecdotes are both ways on low dose Tren it seems, but probably better safe than sorry. Or wait until I’ve got more time solo or something.

I don’t want to come off the wrong way either… my post about them being irritating was half joking. I’m super chill with my loved ones… honestly, if I just raised my voice it would seem out of character for me.

Cheers, brother.
