I have an umbilical hernia that while small is irritating and looking worse as I get leaner. I ignored it as a fat power lifter but I really need to get it fixed.

Anyone had this procedure? Any tips for recovery (would a course of HGH help)?

Going to be like a caged animal having to keep out of the gym for a while but it’s not getting any better

I had the procedure when I was 18, i’m 26 now. My hernia wasn’t even visible to others but I felt it with my fingers and knew it would only get worse with time so I opted to repair it asap. The procedure itself was simple and quick. I was given the umbilical mesh made by Becton Dickinson and I can’t even feel it’s there these days.

At 18 I didn’t know of or use HGH but it would undoubtedly help as I have used it more recently in the past and seen its healing properties.

The post op pain is uncomfortable and annoying more than anything but it will pass like anything else. i forget how long I was out of the gym but muscle memory worked its magic and I was back to normal in no time.

Best of luck

I had one surgically repaired and the first couple days were rough but after that I was back doing cardio and within a few weeks was lifting light weight.

Man, I’ve got the same issue. Going to have to get it taken care of this year. It doesn’t hurt, but I’m scared to do abs or heavy bracing with a belt lol. Any idea on the cost of the procedure?

Ive had one for over twenty years with no issues. I guess it depends on how big it is. At worse mine is like a small grape.

Yeah mine didn’t bother me that much other than it protruded to a noticeable degree which is why I decided to go ahead and have it taken care of.

I just had an inguinal hernia repair. It wasnt an umbilical hernia but im sure the recovery is similar. Took about 30 days before i was back at it. The bruising on your D is no joke tho lmao.
