I don’t know what their official training entails. Here in the USA it’s actual printed policy, the three month ‘meme’. But my understanding is it’s more in reference to bringing things back from say, Mexico. I do think most of the time they just let it through. They’re mostly looking for opiates, benzos, and fentanyl. That said the customs doesn’t really have any official rules they abide by in the US, they just kind of do what they want.

The three month supply is just a basic and very blind guideline that most people go off of, it means quite literally nothing; as they will seize what they want and pass what they want. Open what they want, and not open what they want.
