USPS has operated with a net loss for 14+ years now… so to say that they’re “running out” of money would imply that they “had money” for them to “run out of”.
They’re in a shit spot with legislation requiring them to fund pensions 75 years into the future.

My two cents on it - the less government fiddle-faddling around in other budgets, the better. Hell, they can’t manage the national deficit so why do they need to throw their hat in the ring and give USPS requirements on funding pensions. Personally, I hate USPS. I think they pay too much and the benefits are too good. Why do I hate that - because they refuse to hold their employees to a professional standard deserving of the pay and benefits. Most of the Postal locations here aren’t worth a damn and quite frankly, Casey Anthony would have a better chance of operating a successful daycare than most of these locations would be at properly delivering the mail.
