I’m a metal guy. Melodic Death Metal to be clear. Favorite band of all time is IN FLAMES. I’ve liked then since I was 17 I’m 38 now and they have never let me down. Anyone heard of them?

Some others are Soilwork, dreamshade, trivium, All that Remains. Dark tranquility. Demotional, Killswitch engage…that’s just to name a few some are MDM some aren’t. But still like them.

The new Tremonti and All That Remains albums have been my main music lately. Found an amazing B-Side track from BFMV - “Ashes Of The Innocent” which is one of the greatest top set/PR lift songs I’ve ever heard. For accessory stuff, light days, really anything other than S/B/D sets I’ll mellow out a bit and listen to some really nice rock music. Parabelle, Evans Blue, Cold, Staind, a bit of random softer melodic metalcore songs from random bands I hear on the Youtube channel “Spaceuntravel”.

So you like In Flames? I actually won a contest they were holding many years ago. And got to play guitar with them on stage during a show. Played Jotun live and that and Episode 666 during sound check. I got to hang out with them all day and had full access to anywhere I wanted. They got me hammered lol. Was one of the best days of my life. Considering I’ve liked them since I was 17 like I said. Now 38. This was about 8 years ago now. But I’ve met them since then and they recognize me everytime. They actually sent me a Christmas card one year. Very cool guys.

Haven’t really heard Parkway Drive but I’ve heard they are really good. If u like them you should check out Bury Tomorrow. If u haven’t before. All the YouTube videos say they sounds like PD.

What songs should I check out from PD?

Really see I didnt even know that because I recently was introduced to them and listened to there most recent. But she is damn impressive for sure.

Thats awesome you got to play with in flames. That must have been sick. I used to play but haven’t in years. I think about it a lot, still have my guitars. Im 65lbs heavier now and my hands are like mits from training and work. It would probably take a lot to get back to where I felt comfortable again if ever. I never really got that great anyway I just loved to play

Just realized my post said “I used to be a guy”. Haha. But yeah their first album Black Earth was a dude singer. And Stigmata their 2nd… He wasn’t the best screamer but he fit the music. Imo.

Yea man that day was awesome. I’m going to see them again Feb 14th in Atlanta. I got the meet and greet pass. It’s been like 4 years since I’ve seen them gonna see if they still remember me.

Ive played guitar since I was like 15. I stop from time to time. But I’m back into It now. I write and record my own music. I can do the screaming and all that. It’s pretty fun.
I find that when my estrogen is high I can’t play as well cause I get sausage fingers lol. And also currently Tren is giving me ridiculous pumps so anytime I play my forearms get so pumped it’s painful lol. It definitely hinders my playing.

Cool man thanks. Bury tomorrow’s latest album is great. Not a bad song on it. I just recently got into them so I haven’t listened to any other ones. But it’s really good.

I listened to Bury Tomorrow while hitting back today and loved it. You’re certainly right about their latest album, listened to it all the way through and didn’t skip a song, they were all good

I head to the gym weekdays around 4:30-4:45 a.m. “Strength Beyond Strength” and “Mouth for War” by Pantera, and “Rapid Fire” by Judas Priest, are particularly effective wake-up tools.
