Who here is pinning lats?? If so, good spot?

Title pretty much explains it…I currently rotate between quads, delts, pecs, vg, and glutes, and want to add lats to the rotation. They seem easy enough to reach. Who here pins them currently and what are your thoughts? Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Ngl I know of a coach in my area that always pins his athletes lats. Don’t understand it personally because Id prefer sticking myself instead of someone else, and I can’t reach around to aspirate if I were to do it myself

are you addicted to sticking needles in as much of you as possible or something
I believe with doing what we do as serious lifters and AAS users, we’re all addicted to pain to some degree, but seriously to answer your question, no.

I rotate certain areas depending on the volume I’m pinning. As a med student @“riskyneedlefetish”, I’m sure you’re aware of scar tissue building up over time pinning the same areas; so in addition to having another area to put in rotation, this is something I’d also like to avoid.

I’m not looking to have anyone else pin for me, I have no problem pinning myself and aspirating with one hand. I’ve read that it’s a good place that holds a lot of oil, so I’m looking to hear from others that have or currently pin them.

Regardless I will give it a try myself and form my own opinion, just want to hear others’ experiences as well.

Lats dont seem easy if your big. 230 now , 250 and bigger I cant imagine reaching for a steady jab of 3cc. I do my calfs , and gf helps with trap jabs.

Yeah I was getting bad bad scar tissue just using one site, left/right sides each once a week. Now I only do quads and vg and there’s no pain or worsening of scar tissue so idc. I actually switch up which muscle of the quads I inject into though. My rectus femoris basically became one giant piece of scar tissue when I was doing only quads, so I switched to vastus lateralis and I don’t notice much if any buildup since each spot/side gets hit once every two weeks

Edit: in case anyone tries to do this do not do it on the inside of your legs

Gotcha and thanks for the feedback. Scar tissue seems to be bit of a non-issue for me too because of the number of sites I have to rotate from, but nonetheless it’s something I don’t want.

I guess deep down I am a bit of a masochist lol!

One of my favorite spots, goes in like butter and can hold a ton of oil. If mobility’s an issue all you have to do is lift your arm up and pin lol

That’s good to hear! Based on how the lats feel when relaxed and how large of a muscle it is, I was thinking it’d end up being one of the better spots to pin. Fortunately mobility isn’t really an issue for me. Thanks for the feedback @“Curli”!

Just pin the lats from the front. At 250lbs I bet you have a good front lat spread.

I pin lats, one of my favorite spots (probably most favorite at the moment), easy to reach, can hold alot of oil, not alot of nerves or other stuff to hit (especially if you compare it to something like quads), I’d recommend it.

If you stick to the lateral/outside aspect of the quads you should be fine. even if you stick like a 1.5 inch needle all the way in and try to fuck yourself up on purpose i doubt you would be able to hit anything major.

never risk doing anything except the very most lateral/outside part quads though, some very large vessels common tendons and nerves are basically everywhere else. if you fuck up one of those it could fuck up your whole leg badly

Lats are by far the easiest and least painful spot for me. For larger volumes of oil I use lats and glutes. For smaller volume I use Delta, Tris, and chest

Your rotation based on oil volume sounds similar to mine, instead I currently use glutes, vg, and quads for larger volumes. Will be adding lats to that rotation.

I’ve never hit tri’s before but seem like another easy spot to pin. How’s that?

LATS ARE EASY TO PIN
And you can use slin pins unless you’re a giant fatass.

Find a mirror
Face right so you see your left side in the mirror
Grab your right shoulder with your left hand
Look in the mirror, swab and pin

There’s a nerve going down the center that you will find eventually. You learn to miss it on either side.

Easiest spot I’ve found so far. I used to do glutes, VG, finally added delts and lats after an annoying series of VG leaks. Lats are cool because the whole posture required for pinning is self supporting - you are framing the arms so it’s very stable.

Hitting a nerve is fun lol, that’s good to know.

I’m going to begin my next blast in the next couple of weeks, and that’s when I’m throwing lats into my pin rotation. I’ll let you all know how it goes.

My favorite lol. Makes me slightly hesitant to insert the needle every time.

They’re really good spots, and (as said earlier) they can take alot of oil.
