I believe that the point he is attempting to get across is that for the mass majority of users, the results they get on these radically high doses (1g+) could have easily been attained with much lower doses alongside proper training + nutrition. Seldom are recreational users optimizing those two variables, and resort to using more drugs as a crutch, only to realize that drugs cannot compensate for their lackluster efforts in the other departments. Take, for example, the monthly progress threads on the steroid sub of Reddit. Half of them look like regular recreational gym goers, and the handful (being generous, really) who have developed enough to appear enhanced, still look terrible, and especially for the drugs they use(d). You’ve got these 250 lb 30% body fat tattoo covered 45 year old men with gross greasy beards, acne, body hair everywhere talking about how their 1g+ blasts have them 'railing the wife 3x/day!" and it’s just fucking stupid. These dudes look like shit and have no need to be running so much gear only to look like a fat ass with a leather jacket for skin. Like, obviously that’s their decision to make, but in the same sense that they’ve managed to create a valid reason to use so much gear for so little result, we have a valid reason to judge and look down upon them for it. Sure, the user you quoted put it very harshly and could have gone into more detail, but ultimately the underlying message he was sending is indeed (albeit sad) true.
Nobody is dogging on the IFBB pro who is using over a gram of AAS, and if anything I can guarantee the user you’re quoting thinks that those are the people who can justifiably use larger doses, unlike recreational Randy putting up a 405 1 RM with the sling shot and walking around heaving like a boar for 10 minutes in between sets.
