I’m deep into the slump right now. Get home from work about to get into the gym then I’ll literally find any excuse not to go to the gym. Like today, right before the gym I said let me go to the store instead to grab something I really didn’t need. Then I took my slow ass time at the store and got home and said oh damn too late for the gym. I guess I’ll workout tomorrow. But I know I’m not working out tomorrow either lol

It all started when I burned myself out from last spring to this fall. Non stop. I took it too far in those months.

It’s Been about 3 weeks now of my “slump” whatever you want to describe it as. My clothes are staring to become baggy again.

This happened to me once before and I got out of it by starting a new TV series along with a new cycle. I am thinking of redoing that idea. Going to plan out a cycle and then also plan out a new tv series I haven’t watched yet

How it works is I shut off all distractions. Don’t really talk to anyone. I just get in the mode of going to the gym, Then coming home and getting caught up on my series and taking on a new mindset within the series and my cycle. Idk this is the only slump I’ve had where I’m actually starting to think I’ve lost all desire. I may even have to switch gyms and really change it up.

What’s everyone’s go to when they have their slump?

Dude you just gotta get yourself there. The hardest part is getting there but once I’m at the gym I know I’ll find it in myself to make the most out of it.

Yeah I haven’t even been keeping up with my trt doses. I’ve been skipping them and doing them at different times or just completely skipping them. Maybe that’s the reason. My levels are shit right now.

I was suppose to do one last night I pushed it off. This morning I said I’ll do it. I didn’t. 10pm and I still haven’t done it.

It may suck but try going before work. Get it over with first thing. Then feel the pump during work flexing for the female staff.

You ever think about running Sustanon again anytime soon? I saw your post this morning

I am thinking I may revert back to the good old Sust days to get my feeling young again.

I thought about it. Maybe in a year or 2. After I try test/Deca/ mast, I'm thinking of trying test/tren/mast. Depending what my labs look for each. I may do sust alone and if my labs are ok, add something else to it.

One thing that helped me is packing my stuff so after work I go straight to the gym instead of stopping home first. There’s so many distractions at home you can get deterred by or make an easy excuse to do something else that’s productive. I also find it helped me stay into a better routine by getting to the gym at the same time which also cascaded into me getting more consistent w my meal timing & also let me wind down easier before bed because I get home from the gym earlier each day.

It's normal and you do not lose anything with a couple weeks or months away besides some of the neural adaptations related to maximum explosive force which in other words means you just need to relearn how to properly execute movements in the 92-100% power range again but everything else will be as usual. Competitive strength athletes often go for 6-12 weeks off after big meets, pro bb'ers do a bit less time off but they segue from the time completely off into a 'refeed/reload' phase which is baaaaasically just more time off since they let their diet go to shit and just aimlessly rep shit for pumps for a few weeks.
I personally am still recovering from a broken forearm and it's been about 3ish months I think? I can't press with full strength still yet (Mind you I was benching 5+ and I am back up to 385) but two nights ago I decided to deadlift for the first time in fuckin forever and hit a PR double. I think I hadn't deadlifted since around August prior.
In my time fully away for a few weeks when I wasn't even going to the gym all I did was get a bit leaner, a little less sore and I had a lot more free time to do other shit I enjoy doing.
Enjoy the down period, and when you organically feel ready to go back in just go back in.

Like someone else said, just driving yourself there should be enough to get you to go in and lift. Next time you want to go to the store, go to one closer to the gym, so maybe you can more easily convince yourself to go in. You could try changing up your lifting routine to something that excites you more than your existing one. Maybe even change up the exercises.

Thanks for all the input. Appreciate it from Everyone.

I did end up getting a lift in today, wasn’t the best. But I wasn’t trying to make it the best.

Just got in there to get the blood pumping. Going to get the blood pumping again this weekend then get back to where I left off starting Monday.

I’ll get my groove back, I have faith
