I thought I was in the minority of not thinking Nick’s look is great. He’s just blocky. Glad to see others agree.

Off thread topic but I think this is Lunsford’s year. I started to see his potential after his 2nd place finish last year coming straight from 212. He can win multiple if he continues to push at the pace he’s on.

Nick is blocky but you need to compare physiques in the mandatories to judge who wins. Compare Flex Wheeler to Dorian Yates, Flex is infinitely more aesthetic and Dorian is blocky as hell but Dorian wins the most mandatories hence why he always placed ahead of Wheeler (Front Lat, Side Tricep, Rear Lat, Rear Double, and Side Chest). Most of Walkers competitors may look better than him relaxed but put them against him in the mandatories and he crushes a lot of guys.

Sounds like you’re trying to downplay prior comments. Labrada or Curry for example could have been in play based on last year’s placings too.

Downplay what? Nick? If Nick were to compete Samson would 100% be outside of the top 3. That being said what both Nick and Derek needed to improve on quad sweep in order to win the title. Derek improved his sweep but not enough to win the front shots. If Nick competed and delivered on his promise that he was going to fix the quad sweep issue then he would have won the O.

Exactly, Nick would've pushed Samson out based on that alone (assuming he didn't deplete too hard as he did in the Arnold), and if you put him next to Derek you will see the lack of striations and separation in Derek as well as lack of quad sweep if he was to deliver on his promise.

The way he acts, how he thinks he’s like the hottest shit, he’s a whiney ass baby (Matt Jansen won’t exclusively coach just me wahhh), don’t think he’s a good ambassador for the sport, and while big, he’s not aesthetically big.

So overall just don’t like his character.

Yes he's consistent with the diet and training, but is an absolute mouth-breather of a person. He's not intentionally arrogant, but I'm glad he's never going to win an O title because of the newer guys.
