Are you drinking enough water AND electrolytes? A pedialyte or Gatorade here and there
Definitely. I have kaged hydration, liquid iv, and animal pak juiced aminos at home for anytime I want to drink them. Hydration isn't my issue. It's age LOL

You know, sometimes I feel like a fucking champion. Other times I grunt doing nominal activities like getting out of my car. I don't want to say aging sucks, but holy shit sometimes it feels really weird. I am mentally still in my youth, but physically wake up with weird kinks in my neck, back, etc, and it's an odd feeling.

Coming to the realization that I just turned 43 is a process for sure.
I'll be 47 next month. I've had body aches for so many years already, anything new is just different - no surprise.

LMAO. True. Even before I got back to the gym. Being fat causes body pain. Being athletic....caused body pain. it's different....I guess rewarding after you kill it and the next day your body ACHES, in a good way.

In the years I went without stressful physical activity my aches were different for sure. Almost like by body was actually starting to give up (a bit of an exaggeration). Hitting the gym consistently, getting on TRT, holy shit what a difference.

The last few weeks I'm on fire hitting PRs. When I hurt trying to get up off the couch, it's of no concern to me. I did this on purpose. Life is good.

Well gents. Was quite surprised about how far I have progressed this year. I had heard from some that there was no such thing as recomping....your either bulking or cutting. Guess I disagree. Pretty proud and slightly shocked at my Dexa results. When asked about what I thought my bf% would be, I was just hoping to have shed 5 % since January since had not lost any weight. I knew my body was still progressing. Despite the lack of weight loss I went down four pant sizes. Shoulders, chest, and arms popped for sure. Calves also coming in bigly. Next focus back and quads.

Feeling pretty good about these changes at 50. Let's gooooooo.

Thoughts?

You dropped 12% body fat AND put on 25lb of muscle in 7 months. That's incredible for any age much less 50, you should feel a lot better than "pretty good" about that.
Feeling like god damn Captain America. Had some mom at my son's soccer practice last night pull me aside and asked me if I was her favorite baseball player, MLB, All Star. Can't remember for the life of me the guy's name but I was flattered none the less. Had a former coworker stop by today and only thing you said is he was walking out the doors Jesus, you look jacked. The attention is slightly embarrassing. Pretty crazy change for me in the last 2 years. Down from 285 size 50 waist triple XL into 34 waist and size large/medium tshirts. . Think I'll chill out for a little bit and focus on losing another 8 to 10 lb and call it quits for a bit. Let's goooooooo!!

Thank you. I've been honest with people about TRT and using GLPs. Got a few people rolling their eyes like I'm cheating. They forget that I've been in the gym 96 out of the last 97 weeks straight approximately 4 to 5 times a week average 10 hours per week training. Then meal prepping for 7 months. Loosely tracking macros this year. Tracking every lift. Focused on sleep. Takes me close to 2 hours each week to set up all my supplements, and peptides. Lot of effort but boy has it been rewarding.

Dude those numbers are insane! It's almost unbelievable. I know dexa scans aren't exactly fact, but even if they are slightly incorrect - those results are crazy good.

Can you share what you were doing through those months?

I've only had 2 dexa scans. 1 after my first blast/bulk, and one after a cut. I'd have to dig out my results to see how long it was in between, but I lost 6 lbs of lean mass! My body fat percentage reduced about 3.5% so overall I was still pleased.

Apparently that's the belief of majority people who leave comments on built guys' pages on ig.

I was at the gym before work. Seen a coworker there. He made a juice comment putting down another guy there. I told the coworker to look at the intensity of how he's training. He's not sitting there scrolling through Facebook. Juice or not, he's here using the gym, not talking.

Love this bro . Absolutely! I tell people yeah is like running a quarter mile race with a Ferrari versus a bike. Everyone thinks the bike will lose . Not if the Ferrari driver is so lazy he won’t get into the drivers seat.

That is exactly correct. I took two days off for the weekend. Ate like shit and had some beers. Hit it super hard today. 2 hours and 20 minutes. I know it's not probably accurate but my tracking app said between my weight training and cardio, burt more than 1100 calories. 40 sets: chest, biceps, triceps, and core. Plus another 30 minutes of zone 2 cardio. Definitely feeling sore but I felt like I had to make up for the shit I put my body through over the weekend.

I was talking to another father and he's telling me he needs to lose 8 lb. He's been swimming. Ask me what I would recommend and what medication he could take. I just told him focus on this protein intake, and start weight training.

Hey, fam! Glad to be here. Going into a cut I’ve needed for a long time, trying to get the Mrs. Pregnant, and putting up big leg presses despite feeling old. Yeah Buddy!
