Well, I knew it was low...

I'm getting ready to start my first cycle so I went and had blood work done. Total test was 191 and free test was 7.2. I'm 39 and have had all the symptoms for years. I was an opiate addict for almost 20 years so that probably has something to do with it. My questions are 1) Can any doctor prescribe test and 2) If they do and I decide to blast and cruise, how long do you have to wait for your levels to get back to normal. I wouldn't want to go have a check up and it be really high on what they think is trt. Hope that all makes sense.

How long it takes your levels to come back to normal after blasting depends on the ester. Test E and C I think would be around 2 weeks to down. Any else else feel free to chime in on that.

I should have mentioned it will be Test C 500 a week. Also, I went to the doctor to have the blood work done and told her I was checking it because I was experiencing low t symptoms. I'm assuming they can prescribe it if necessary.

Which country are you in? 500mg is not gonna happen at a TRT clinic. You'll be lucky to get 200 which will set you above normal levels. Let's say 1200-1500 range. They're not going to put you up to 3000-4000+. TRT clinics job is to get you to normal levels.

Tell them you're a female that identifies as a male and they'll have to prescribe you test or be smeared on the internet as bigots.
Also just look for TRT clinics by the various names they go by, and even better if you find an online route. For a bit some fitness names were repping different online sources that will work with you and help you set up TRT scripts simpler than going the PCP route and waiting for referrals, but off hand I do not recall the name. I think Stan Efferding might still be somewhat partnered up with a TRT clinic of sorts so you could try his social media links for starters, and I hate to mention moreplatesmoredates but for a while that kid was also promoting a TRT clinic so you may find luck there. If you go the PCP route good fuckin luck because most docs will not refer you to anyone who will script test for you, but if you go through routes somewhat specifically working with enhanced/formerly enhanced individuals you should be fine if you simply submit blood results.

i think a normal doc can prescribe test without referring to endocrinologist.

I think you misunderstood what I was saying. I'm getting ready to start a 500 a week cycle so I went to the doctor to have my levels tested. Since it came back low, I want to see if they can prescribe it so when I decide to cruise, I'll have it. I get cheap medication and visits through the clinic my work uses. That visit for the blood was $25. I figured if they can prescribe it I can get it discounted for the cruising portion lol

Is this your first low T? I imagine any good PCP would refer you to a specialist like endo or a trt clinic for further evaluation. I personally would not want a non-specialist to just throw something at this. Is it primary or secondary hypogonadism? This matters, is it your testicles failing, E2 too high due to possible liver damage shutting down your gonadal axis after abusing opiates, or is this a pituitary problem caused by a tumor? You need LH,FSH, possibly prolactin, an Iron panel etc. to figure out the cause. Personally, I would push your pcp for some of these tests along with a referral to a specialist, and go from there unless you want to buy the labs on your own and figure out the aforementioned yourself.

I think test C is like 2-4 weeks although that is for it to totally be wiped out. Taking 500mg/wk and pretending like you are on TRT doses, I would think that depending on your body probably 2-3 weeks for it to return to something more normal for a person on trt. I mean a surefire way to know is to get it tested privately yourself.

Idk, this seems meh to me, maybe I am missing something, but how much money are you really saving? If the lab tests were accurate and not fakely low during blasts, I would understand, labs are expensive. Really though, the only expense they are paying for is lab testing during cruises and a vial of T and maybe some E2 blockers. Plus, at that point, you could always just ask your PCP for labs like this during cruises anyway... So, saving maybe $100-$200/yr, and in return you are throwing your body through loops cutting T, and then restarting it... I am not educated on this though, maybe it is more lucrative then I am estimating.

Well a lot of the medications through this clinic are usually free or at a dramatically lower price. I'm not positive I can get it at a reduced price but I'm going to ask. Most trt clinics online charge a monthly fee, doctor fees, outrageous med fees, etc. All I'm saying is, if I can get it prescribed cheaper I'm going to. Also, this will all be through a doctor for legitimately low testosterone.

These online clinics would do the same thing. They would run the same blood my PCP did and then just send my meds in the mail.

I am confused, you plan on getting enough T from the dr to use it to blast 500mg along with cruising? Did they run your LH or FSH already?

No. I'm planning on getting test for a cycle from a source. I went to have blood work before I started it just to check levels. My levels are really low. So if my PCP will prescribe it for trt, I can use that for cruising or just by itself. I guess forget the whole cycle question and focus more on could a PCP prescribe trt because if I can get it through them it could possible be way cheaper than any online trt clinic. Forget everything I said and just replace it with me asking strictly about trt through a PCP. Sorry for the confusion

Yep - I get mine through a cardiologist. She's like 70 years old so maybe above the law or something Idk

*note this is ~130 mg/wk which brings me to approximately middle of normal range. Not super-high dosing or super-high blood testosterone levels.

They of course have the ability to but I don't think they would take that risk. Not when a specialist could initiate and manage it. This would require your pcp to place orders for blood work frequently and manage other issues that arise like fertility. Again, not knowing if this is primary or secondary is insane to me. Although, most insurance companies just want you to have low T and symptoms, for possible approval so if your pcp is money-hungry enough and willing to risk their license by not managing treatment well.... anything is possible lol

So basically the same as online trt like hone, trtnation, Excel, etc. Got it.

Like I said it is possible, I think you should talk with whatever doctor you are trying to get T from and tell them how much you want them to manage it for you. What do you have to lose by doing this? If they try to refer you to a specialist you could decline. They may be able to find you a cheaper or no cost to you alternative clinic etc too.
