Hey man, for oil could I use something like corn oil, olive oil or canola oil? Not much more that I can get in my country without paying an extreme premiumYou could just use 250ml pyrex beaker, 8oz canning jars with lids, syringe filters .45um and .22um filters,1 filter for every 10-20ml of oil, 20ml syringes, 1 or 3cc syringes, 20g x 1.5" needles candle warmer, pressure cooker or large pot with tight lid, Distilled water 1 gallon, 90% isopropyl alcohol a liter, baking pan, tin foil, table cleaned with bleach solution, nitrile gloves, N95 mask to keep from breathing any contamination into your oil, long sleeve polyester jacket that doesn’t shed fibers to make sure you don’t have anything flake off your skin on your arms or hairs into the oil, hair net if you have hair.
Raws- China- PPL or DO.
Oils you can buy sterile GSO, off the shelf MCT, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Alcohol all can be bought on ebay, or medlabsupply, texlabsupply, or alphapharma. Typically bottle sizes are 50-100ml of BB, 10-20ml of BA.
You can buy sterilized vials that will need 30g vent needles to fill. Or you can buy glass vials that need to be cleaned and sterilized, rubber stoppers, caps, crimping tool that is the right size for the caps. Tweezers used for removing the rubber stoppers after they soak in alcohol so you don’t touch them with your hands.
I could go into a bunch more details, more options for filters with a vacuum attached that can make the job a lot easier. Just depends on how much you want to spend setting up for this. Take a look at medlabsupply to get an idea of possible filtration beyond just syringe filters which are slow and tedious, but get the job done.
If you can get extra light refined olive oil I think you’ll be very happy. The monounsaturated oil has a longer shelf life. The less green and clear it is the better, look for something with a longer outdate.Hey man, for oil could I use something like corn oil, olive oil or canola oil? Hey Dex I’d love to hear your preferred glassware sterilization methods, or really your homebrew methods in general. I’ve been doing vials in alcohol baths followed by distilled water rinses, then covered in sterile aluminum foil and baked in the oven for about 2 hours at 400F.You could just use 250ml pyrex beaker, 8oz canning jars with lids, syringe filters .45um and .22um filters,1 filter for every 10-20ml of oil, 20ml syringes, 1 or 3cc syringes, 20g x 1.5" needles candle warmer, pressure cooker or large pot with tight lid, Distilled water 1 gallon, 90% isopropyl alcohol a liter, baking pan, tin foil, table cleaned with bleach solution, nitrile gloves, N95 mask to keep from breathing any contamination into your oil, long sleeve polyester jacket that doesn’t shed fibers to make sure you don’t have anything flake off your skin on your arms or hairs into the oil, hair net if you have hair.

What’s your method of dispensing oil into vials? Used a dispensing pump for a while but I became frustrated with cleaning it and felt my instant pot’s sanitize setting wasn’t enough, switched to a serological pipettor but boy does Castor Oil flow slow.MiniFridge" pid='85426' dateline='1585029007:

I wash all my glassware with soap and water, then pressure cook for about 1 hour with distilled water, I also do canning jar lids in the pressure cooker, but never in the oven as the rubber seals melt and burn.
Preheat oven to 350-400F and line a baking pan with tin foil. Put all my glassware so the openings are facing down and not exposed to air. Bake for 45 minutes. Take out of oven and you now have your tray ready to start filling with oils. Just leave all the glassware upside down so the openings aren’t exposed to any air until you need them.
Extra sheets of tin foil for lids are put in the baking pan as well when you need them to cover beakers.
Rubber stoppers are soaked in bowl with 90% alcohol for 1 hour and removed with sterilized tweezers and placed on sterilized tin foil that was in cooled off baking pan, allowed to air dry then fold up in the tin foil until you’re ready to cap your vials
Dexter do you know of any decent sources for sterilized complete vials? I have made two orders and both times I find that the vials are corking before they are even halfway finished (short esters and using 20-21g to draw). Gets annoying having to refilter gear that I am about to pin due to a piece of rubber.MiniFridge" pid='85426' dateline='1585029007:
