'Shilling' in Detail
As rule 2 states, shilling will result in a ban. This is at the discretion of the moderator team. This will not only result in the banning of the shill but also the source they are shilling for. Sources, this means that if you see someone pushing your line very hard, you should make a public attempt to temper their enthusiasm. That means that if we see an account pushing nothing but source A in every thread and saying how great it is, we will take that as you being on source A's payroll and ban you, with a possible ban of the source. This sub was created to help people talk about sources and to review them. It was not created for the purpose of helping sources to make money. Pushing members in the direction of a particular source is discouraged and will not be tolerated. That also means trying to dissuade members from a particular source as well, or in other words, trying to sabotage a source. If that happens the offending account will be banned.
Lodging a Complaint
Making baseless accusations about a source’s potency/legitimacy or claiming scam without following the appropriate avenues of communication to seek recompense will result in a permanent ban. There are two appropriate avenues for seeking the moderator’s help in contacting a source or rectifying an order issue. Before either avenue is pursued, it is expected that the customer reaches out to the source directly to attempt to remedy the issue first. When you communicate with a source in a concise and polite manner, you are more likely to not only receive the outcome you wish, but expedite the process. Sources often deal with dozens of email chains and communications a day, and replying out of chain with minimal information just adds to the time it takes for them to find your order and correct the issue. If you’re being a dick on top of that, they may take their sweet time at best or refuse to do further business with you at worst. Some sources are known to go above and beyond, but this is not expected. Sources are just regular people, they don’t operate some big box business with the ability to respond instantaneously at all hours of the day and ship every order immediately.
If attempting to politely reach out to the source yields no response or attempt at remediation, it is advised that you contact the moderator team directly at [email protected] with all appropriate previous chains of communication and relevant information regarding the order and issue. Private communications with the mod team are preferred to promote community and source safety, as well as aiding in any complaint aggregation that may be needed.
Alternatively you may seek more public remediation, in which case you may create an appropriate source complaint thread in the “Source Complaint” subforum following proper post formatting and guidelines (found below). Only open a new thread if you have a source complaint against a specific source that DOES NOT ALREADY have a thread open about them. Do not open threads asking about a source’s legitimacy or potency, or threads about anything other than a complaint thread about a specific source.
Source Complaint Rules:
Only one thread per source. Do not make new threads for sources that already have a thread or you will be banned.
Keep it civil
Do not make any thread unrelated to source complaints. If you are making a new thread, it had better not be something autistic like ‘Does XXX Labs have any issues right now”. Read the thread regarding XXX Labs.
Format post titles as “[Source Complaint] XXX Labs (Month/Day/Year)
Please refrain from spreading bullshit, stick to things like T/A time, communications, product quality, etc.
Do not create any threads that are not [Source Complaint] threads
Do not expose a source’s stealth
Warnings/Common Practice
If you see that a source is having sales all the time stop and think for a second. How can a business thrive if it is constantly undercutting themselves out of a profit? Are they just trying to establish their name and win new customers or are they trying to make as many quick sales and take off with as much money as possible? Also, remember the type of business these guys and yourself are engaged in; it isn't exactly legal everywhere and that leads to unscrupulous individuals taking advantage of naive people. It's never a bad thing to ask for more information about a business before you send them money, maybe you want pictures of lab settings, pictures of products ready to ship, or maybe you want to see some test results. Most honest businesses will happily oblige at least some of these requests. Never forget, you should never spend more than you are prepared to lose on a new source, no matter how much other people rant and rave about how great they are.
A Special Note On Research Chemical Companies
RC companies are inherently hit or miss. They are sometimes great and at other times complete bunk. There are a plethora of mixed reviews on this sub for all the research companies that you can imagine, from board sponsor RC companies like RUI to companies like Madison James Research. Sometimes a person is extremely happy with their products, and sometimes a person relies on them for AI or whatnot and winds up with gyno. Because of this instability in the RC market, no one on the moderator team feels that you should rely on them for important chemicals and you should instead seek out pharma grade usp, generics, or at least UGL meds. As such, inquiries as per the legitimacy of these RC sites, such as, "Is (insert your favourite RC site here)'s X product good to go?", the answer should always be "no, use it at your own risk", and the inquiring party should be directed here to the wiki.
