What’s up guys
I’ve been bulking since May 17th. I cut last year naturally from September 2021 - May 2022. I stopped cutting because I wanted to get jacked and put on some muscle, & then try and cut again. Moving forward so I’m eating good groceries, I’m training hard 5-6 days a week, I’m even running some gear now. I also work a highly active job. But it just seems like I’m just putting on fat. I’m not getting any compliments about me putting on any muscle. When for instance I was cutting my clothes would fit better and all the time people would tell me I’m looking great. I almost want to start cutting again but danm if I start cutting Ive already been down that road. I will just look the same. I at least want to put on some MASS and then cut. Like for instance I wanted to put alot of mass throughout my abs, I want some thick strong abs. I honestly don’t know what I am doing wrong & I need some help. If anyone can see what I’m doing wrong just off this bit of information please let me know. Or if you have any books or videos I can watch I would really appreciate it

Could be one, some, or all of the following: your training is shit, you're eating too much, you've not thought about what macros and in what quantities your body likes, and/or you don't respond well to steroids.

Calorie intake is too low and you're probably not doing enough work in the gym. Unlearn what you've been told about food and start eating like an asshole. Milk, Mcdonalds, pizza, candy, ice cream, pound all the junk you can. Gear + junk food = jacked and strong. You do have to bust your fuckin ass in training though, that is essential.

You haven’t told us much of anything. There’s a lot that goes into whether a bill is successful.

Go to hard to fast in increasing cals you’re gonna get fat. Training volume isn’t equivalent to your increased calorie consumption you’re gonna get fat.

We’ll need a lot more detail to give you a proper answer

I would say it varies you obviously don't wana stuff your face purely with fast food but for example I work 10 hour days. I bring chicken and white rice maybe some sort of veggie in a Tupperware I'll eat that at work and I eat just about everything I get my hands on, I'm also a shorter guy and have had a fast metabolism all my life it will definetly vary person to person my whole life I've felt like I've had to over eat to gain anything even pre juice and still now shit probably even more so.

im short as well, (5'8 240lbs). and ive done the whole juan diesal bulking diet. its only good for a RARE % of lifters. Eating all that junk will make the scale go up but it will wreck havoc on a lot of health markers. Processed food is very bad b/c it increases inflammation and is not easy to digest. Sure i can eat chic-fila and 5 guys all day but eating 10oz of cooked chicken and 350g of white rice is way harder. dont be lazy.

Cry harder bud, Seems like you follow me around getting upset because I speak the truth but your tiny brain can't accept it. Must be the average DERKMORPLATSMORDATS enjoyer.

Numerous guys opening up recently about their REAL diet habits. Pumping Iron famously has a scene where Arnold admits the guys go out and eat big fuckin pies often. DK Metcalf opened up about his candy obsession. The other day Joe Rogan had a world class BJJ competitor open up about how his diet consists of several thousand calories made up purely of pizza and pasta. Rich Piana videocasted his life for BBTD and showed off the ridiculous amount of fast food and ice cream he consumed. EliteFTS has had a few videos discussing JM Blakely's recommended bulking plan of McGriddles and pizza covered in olive oil. Brian Shaw has shown off his diet numerous times and consumes a whole cheesecake and a whole dominos pizza almost daily. Rich Froning has mentioned his diet consists of the GOMAD trend. Michael Phelps consumed, again, thousands of calories of pizza and pasta daily.

All of the people I just mentioned are stronger, bigger, leaner, more athletic, or a combination of those than you or anyone else on the board. These are top level people in their respective worlds (or former top level) and they all share something in common: They don't eat some bullshit strict 'cLeAn DiEt'.

Fuck off bud because people far better in all areas of lifting/fitness disagree with you.

3450 calories 260 P ,430 C ,77 F
207 July 9th, Today I’m 199.6.
I’m 5’9”.
I go over on calories. I don’t track calories to the T when bulking. I don’t feel I should have to. Once I prepare my protein & carbs for the day like chicken & rice I’ll make sure I’m hitting my macros & also eat some extra stuff.
I feel my resistance weight training is good.
What I haven’t been doing is HIIT interval training for instance an assload of push-ups, body squats, burpees, high knees.
Think I should throw that in daily with my resistance training to help with the mass gain?

Those people you named are in the top 0.1% of genetics. They can eat all that junk food and be fine. I eat nothing but pizza and ice cream I’m going to be fat plain and simple. I’ve done it. That type of diet is not for everyone. And you sound like an idiot on your little rant. Calling your very very bad opinion facts just makes you look stupid.

What's your bodyfat at and what was it pre-bulk, has it gone up or down or pretty consistent. Has your workload increased, decreased, or remained the same since your bulk start? What were your calories pre bulk ( approx)

@Bn41713 After reading your last post in this thread my only advice is to keep doing what you're doing.

Why are you people worried about macros … Macros don’t matter for shit. The only Macro that matters is protein intake! Period! It’s been proven time and time again, your body doesn’t know the difference between fat and carbs when it’s burning food as energy. It’s all CICO. As I said, Science is very clear on the fact that if we control total calories and ensure we eat enough protein to support muscle growth we can expect the same weight loss or weight gain results, relevant to our Cal intake, regardless of the make-up of macronutrients!

250 with abs but okay bud. Those guys with the top .1% genetics are also on tons of slin, HGH, and gobs of other peptides that can allow you to eat like an asshole and not get fat. I’d love to see what you look like

It's hilarious how hard the newbs push back against truthful information.

You’re a fucking idiot lol. Nothing you’re saying is truth. Just because there’s YouTube videos of big names eating pizza and ice cream. Stay fat and small

cros can greatly effect the way you feel physically, mentally, and hormonal though. There are more reasons than just muscle growth to have a balanced diet with good P/F/C ratio
